European Cocoa Association joins Primary Food Processors.
The association of Primary Food Processors (PFP) welcomes the European Cocoa Association (ECA) as a new member. PFP President commented on the PFP General Assembly’s decision of 2 December 2011 and said “we are delighted that ECA is joining PFP. The European Cocoa Association’s membership further consolidates the PFP’s role in credibly and authoritatively representing the concerns of the industries of the first processing sector”.
Martin Versteeg, Chairman of the European Cocoa Association added “We strongly believe in synergies between EU first-processing industries’ interests on EU regulatory issues – PFP offers a valuable platform to increase our share of voice in Brussels”. ECA Members represent jointly over two-thirds of Europe’s cocoa bean grinding, half of Europe’s industrial chocolate production and 40% of the world production of cocoa liquor, butter and powder.
